#76 How the two halves of the Sri Yantra correspond to the two halves of the 7 enfolded polygons of the inner Tree of Life

Considered as tetractyses, the 42 triangles surround the centre of the 3-d Sri Yantra have (42×3=126) sides with (126×2=252) hexagonal yods lining them. This number is a structural parameter of sacred geometries (for example, see here). Considered as a Type A triangle, the central triangle has 12 hexagonal yods lining the six sides of its three tetractyses. Therefore, (252+12=264) hexagonal yods line the (126+6=132) sides of the 45 tetractyses formed by the 3-d Sri Yantra. 132 red or blue hexagonal yods on the boundaries of tetractyses can be assigned to each half:

(132+132) yods in Sri Yantra and in S1 and S2

The number of hexagonal yods lining the sides of the 42 triangles in the Sri Yantra is the number of yods in each half of the inner Tree of Life.

Let us next consider the seven separate polygons of the inner Tree of Life. Listed in Table 1 are the numbers of yods they contain when their sectors are constructed from tetractyses:

Calling the enfolded triangle, square, pentagon & dodecagon "S1" and the enfolded hexagon, octagon & decagon "S2",Table 2 lists the yod populations of the root edge and what is outside it in S1 and in S2:

Table 2. Yod compositions of S1 & S2 outside the root edge.

 Total 4 132 128 264

We find that S1 has 132 yods outside the root edge and S2 has (4+128=132) yods when it is included. The 264 yods in the seven enfolded polygons correspond to the 264 hexagonal yods in the 3-d Sri Yantra, S1 and S2 corresponding to its two halves. The discussion of these two sets of polygons in Article 64 showed that they are the two halves of the complete set of seven enfolded polygons making up the inner Tree of Life. So it is fitting that the very same number 132 quantifies each half of the 3-d Sri Yantra as well! It is the 65th even integer after 2. This shows how ADONAI, the Godname of Malkuth with number value 65, prescribes the form of sacred geometries such as the Sri Yantra and the inner Tree of Life, that is, their Malkuth aspect.
