#56 Correspondence between the outer Tree of Life with Type A triangles and the inner Tree of Life with Type A polygons
Outer Tree of Life
A Type A triangle has tetractyses as its sectors. Inside it are 10 yods. The number of yods in the 16 triangles of
the outer Tree with 10 corners and 22 sides = 10 + 22×2 + 16×10 = 214. They include 48 red
hexagonal yods at the centres of the 48 tetractys sectors, 10 white corners of the 16 Type A
triangles and 156 black yods that line the (22 + 16×3 = 70) sides of these 48 tetractyses.
48 is the number value of Kokab, the Mundane Chakra of Hod.
Inner Tree of Life
The seven enfolded Type A polygons of the inner Tree of Life contain 264 yods. They comprise 47 hexagonal yods at
the centres of their 47 tetractys sectors and 217 yods that line their 88 sides. The topmost corner of the hexagon
coincides with the lowest corner of the hexagon that is enfolded in the next higher Tree.
216 boundary yods are intrinsic to each set of seven polygons that is enfolded in successive
Trees of Life. 216 is the number value of Geburah. Four yods lie on the root edge. An
endpoint of the root edge and one hexagonal yod on it can be associated with either set of polygons. This means
that there are 214 yods associated with each set that are intrinsic to it and line its 47 tetractys sectors. They
comprise the 10 corners of the dodecagon outside the root edge, the 48 red yods on the 24
sides of its 12 tetractyses that are associated with it and 156 coloured yods on the sides of the first six
enfolded polygons (including one endpoint of the root edge). 155 of these coloured yods are
outside the root edge, showing how ADONAI MELEKH, the Godname of Malkuth with number value 155,
shapes their 35 sectors. The two sets of six enfolded polygons constitute a holistic subset of the complete set of
(7+7) polygons, being prescribed by the Godnames of all the Sephiroth (see Article 4).
Comparison
There are the following correspondences between the outer and inner Trees of Life:
The outer Tree of Life with Type A triangles has 48 tetractyses with 214 yods that comprise 26 corners and 188 hexagonal yods (140 hexagonal yods are on their 70 sides, where 140 is the number value of Masloth, the Mundane Chakra of Chokmah). It is composed of (26+70+48=144 =122) points, lines & triangles. Associated with each set of seven enfolded polygons in the inner Tree of Life with Type A polygons are 39 intrinsic corners of 47 tetractyses with 175 hexagonal yods lining their (1+87=88) sides, where 87 (the number value of Levanah, the Mundane Chakra of Yesod) is the number of sides outside the root edge.
The reason why the number 214 manifests in both the outer and inner forms of the Tree of Life is that, as examples of sacred geometries, they embody the same parameters that characterize their analogous patterns. These are discussed in detail at The holistic pattern. The 2-dimensional Sri Yantra also possesses this parameter. As shown here, it is composed of 240 points, lines & triangles (241, including the central bindu), of which 27 points are corners of the original nine triangles whose overlap generates the yantra, which leaves 214 points, lines & triangles created by this overlap (with the central bindu added).
