Because the unit interval between the octave and itself belongs to both similar sets of intervals between notes of two successive octaves, there are 35 intervals per octave. The (7N+1) notes in N successive octaves have N repetitions of these intervals, so that there are (35N+1) intervals, including the unit interval between the Nth octave and itself. Seventy-one notes with 351 intervals span ten octaves. i.e., there are 280 intervals other than notes. 351 is the number value of Ashim, the Order of Angels assigned to Malkuth and 280 is the number value of Sandalphon, the Archangel of this Sephirah (see here). Moreover, 351 is the sum of the first 26 integers, where 26 is the number value of YAHWEH. The appearance of two numbers associated with the same Sephirah and the number values of successive Sephiroth of the Tree of Life suggests that ten Pythagorean octaves constitute an archetypal set, each octave corresponding to a Sephirah. But note that no particular set of octaves is indicated here. The geometrical counterparts of the intervals exist for any set of successive octaves.
