#14 Correspondence between the Sri Yantra and the 64 hexagrams

Correspondence between I Ching table & Sri Yantra

The tetractys reveals the remarkable equivalence of the Sri Yantra and the I Ching table of 64 hexagrams:

 Sri Yantra

I Ching table

Upper half
Triplet of green yods.
21 black yods at centres of triangles.
168 red yods lining triangles.

Upper half
Trigram of 3 green Yang lines.
21 black Yang & Yin lines in 7 upper trigrams in diagonal.
168 red Yang & Yin lines.

Lower half
Triplet of pink yods.
21 white yods at centres of triangles.
168 blue yods lining triangles.

Lower half
Trigram of 3 pink Yang lines.
21 white Yang & Yin lines in 7 lower triagrams in diagonal.
168 blue Yang & Yin lines.
384 yods in 43 triangles. 384 Yang & Yin lines.

The central bindu pont and the three corners of the central triangle can be regarded as corresponding to a pair of Yang & Yin lines and their three possible permutations: Yang-Yang, Yin-Yang & Yin-Yin. These are the "hsiang," the four "Emblematic Symbols" generated from the "Elementary Forms" of Yang and Yin (see page 2 in Article 19 (WEB, PDF)).
