Whilst the skeptic might be tempted to dismiss as coincidence the fact that the number of Pythagorean notes between the tonic and octave of the seven musical scales is equal to the gematria number value of the well-known Godname YAHWEH (YHVH), he would be hard-pressed to discount in simular fashion the remarkable fact that its letter values Y = 10, H = 5, V = 6 & H = 5 are the numbers of Pythagorean notes in four sets of scales. Instead of being yet more implausible coincidences, this fact reflects the holistic nature of the seven musical scales, the prescription by this Godname being merely one of the ways in which the Godnames of the Sephiroth of the Tree of Life define the scales. Two other simple examples are: 1. there are 42 notes between the tonic & octave. 42 is the 21st even integer, where 21 is the number value of EHYEH, the Godname of Kether; 2. there are seven notes above the tonic in each scale, making (7×7=49) notes for all seven scales. 49 is the number value of EL CHAI, the Godname of Yesod.
