The 282 sectors of the 42
polygons making up the inner form of the 3-tree have 236 corners. The number 236 is a defining
parameter of sacred geometries. For example, 236 yods are needed to create the boundaries of
the 14 regular polygons enfolded in the inner Tree of Life when their sectors are turned into
tetractyses. The 42 triangles surrounding the centre of the 2-dimensional Sri Yantra comprise
236 points, lines & triangles (see Sacred geometry/Correspondences). For more examples of the number 236 in sacred geometries,

The fact that the 42 polygons enfolded in three overlapping Trees of Life have 282 sectors with 246 sides outside their root edges — two of the number values of the Sephiroth in the four Kabbalistic Worlds — gives confirmation to the holistic character of the inner form of these Trees. This in turn indicates the holistic nature of the human skeleton, whose 206 bones are symbolized by the 206 corners of these polygons. |
