#8 The same number determines the shapes of the inner Tree of Life and the Sri Yantra
When the 94 sectors of the 14 regular polygons of the inner Tree of Life are turned into tetractyses, 236 yods line the 83 sides of the polygons. The 2-dimensional Sri Yantra comprises 68 corners and 126 sides of the 42 triangles that surround its central one, that is, 236 geometrical elements (see Table 4 in Article 35 (WEB, PDF)). The very number that quantifies the shape of the inner Tree of Life also expresses the geometrical composition of the 42 triangles surrounding the central triangles of the 2-dimensional Sri Yantra. Although this may seem surprising, it is not for the simple reason that the same set of parameters characterizes different representations of a holistic system. It is confirmed by the fact (see next page) that the natural counterpart in the inner Tree of Life of the 68 corners and 168 sides & triangles in the Sri Yantra is the 68 corners of the 14 polygons outside the root edge and the 168 yods that are either endpoints of the root edge or hexagonal yods lying on the edges of the polygons. 168 is the number value of Cholem Yesodoth, the Mundane Chakra of Malkuth (Table 1). In the author's book The Mathematical Connection between Religion and Science, it is proved beyond all reasonable doubt that this number is a fundamental structural parameter characterizing the 3-dimensional form of the subquark state of the E8×E8 heterotic superstring, as described 120 years ago with micro-psi by the Theosophists Annie Besant & Charles W. Leadbeater (see Occult Chemistry).
