The ten Sephiroth of the Tree of Life function in the four Worlds of Atziluth (Archetypal World) as their Godnames, Beriah (World of Creation) as their Archangels, Yetzirah (Formative World) as the Angelic Order and Assiyah (World of Action) as their Mundane Chakras. Through gematria, wherein a number is assigned to the letters of the Hebrew alphabet so that a Hebrew word acquires a number that is the sum of its letter values, each Sephirah in the four Worlds, as well as its Hebrew name, has a number value. They are listed here so that they may be referred to during the reading of this section, where they appear as numbers in boldface.
